Shore Summer Studio Series
Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 – 4 pm.
Class fee: $25 a person/ $50 for a family (up to 5 family members)
Make summer your time to start something new! These done in a day workshops are suitable for all ages and skill levels. Each session starts with a demo, then allows ample work time to create a finished product and learn a new skill. All supplies are included.
June 5 – Bookmaking with a twist!
Students will learn simple bookbinding techniques you can do at home. Then we will pull out the inks and rollers for some fun, messy printmaking activities that can be used to embellish your new handmade book.
June 28 – Drumming and Percussions: Make your own drum!
Learn how to build a drum, then get lessons on how to use it!
July 10 – Clay Creations: Building a Beautiful Garden.
Students will learn how to create their own coil pots for planting or embellishing their yard or garden.
July 26 – Batiking: Pennants and Pillow Cases.
Learn the beautiful art of batiking, using dyes and wax on fabric. Students will create their own summer pennant or pillow case.

Students learn the basics of clay work, including pinch method, coiling and slab rolling. Create complete projects while exploring texture, form, design, and glazing.
Pottery Open Studio with Jayson
Monday and Wednesdays 6-9pm
$6 a person per hour
Instructor: Jayson Hayes All ages and skill levels welcome! Learn a variety of ceramic techniques including hand building, throwing on a potter’s wheel & glazing methods. Students may work on projects of their choice. Clay, glazes, tools and firing are provided. FEE: $6/hour per person. Adult must accompany children under 10. Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00pm-9:00pm. Watercolor with Dennis Vargo
Tuesdays, 7-9pm
May 1 – July 3
Class fee: $50
Have fun with watercolor and see the effects it will have on paper. All skill levels welcome. Room #104
Figure Drawing Artists’ Group
Thursdays, 6:30-8:30pm
$8 sessions pre-registration required
Work from a live model at your own pace. All skill levels welcome, adults only.
Art Workshops with Kate Uhlir
Thursdays, 10am – 2:30pm
Instruction in pastel drawing, watercolor techniques, and an introduction in oil and acrylic painting on canvas. Pleine aire painting also available. All ages and skill levels welcome.
